I was in high school when my Mom started suffering serious chronic health problems. As she cycled through medical appointments with specialists, each of whom added yet another diagnosis and drug but offered very limited relief, she lost hope, as well as her health. This opened my eyes. You know something’s wrong when you see your parents sacrificing their health for the American dream, and their employers and health system can’t and won’t help them regain it.
What changed for my Mom and for me was being referred to an acupuncturist by a co-worker. After some treatments she was able to reduce her meds, she felt better, and regained her sense of hope. That’s what drew me into the world of acupuncture and Chinese medicine and brings me to you all.

I came to the U.S. more than 40 years ago, escaping the civil war back home. I started as many immigrants do: from the bottom. I've worked my way up from being a car washer to finishing my electronic engineering training 20+years ago. I spent the next 18 years working for an international corporation repairing basic to high-complexity, networked laser copiers. I'm married with 2 kids and 3 grandkids. Since joining CPCA I've been having a great time connecting with the people that come through our doors. I hope you all enjoy our space and see you soon!
